Asheia

Hi, I’m Asheia. I just wanted to give you a sneak peek into who I am, and why I feel so strongly about Raising the Standard. I was born in a fairly small town in Arkansas that was known for poverty and crime. It was amazing to me that a city of only 50,000 people continued to be ranked as The Worst Place to Live, and the Most Dangerous Place to live, year after year. So many people get trapped there, only to do and see the same things (more poverty and more crime). But when I look at my life compared with so many of the other people from my old school, old neighborhood, etc., I see that our lives look completely different.

How could I come from this place, and still earn the title of "Dr." at 24 years old, be a practicing pharmacist, international traveler, philanthropist, and entrepreneur??? I am glad to share with you that my parents played a huge role in motivating me to be different. "Be a leader and not a follower" my dad would say to me every single day. But even more than guidance from my parents, I am sure that my current success has a lot to do with the choices I made in relationships. I'd seen the results of sleeping around, and giving your heart to each person that you met, and I wanted something different—something better.

Make no mistake, I was not perfect in the decisions that I made, and I have had my heart broken a time or two. But because I have kept my virginity, I have a peace of mind that far outweighs any negativity from a previous relationship. Not to mention that maintaining a life of abstinence strengthens your discipline, self control, determination, and focus---all of which play a key role in a life of success.

So what am I saying? By living an abstinent lifestyle, you ARE giving up something NOW (low self-esteem, unwanted pregnancy, STD, having to quit school, etc.) for something BETTER LATER (great career, peace, happiness, financial success, recognition by your community, and a healthy, fulfilled marriage.) So partner with us, make a decision that you too will be abstinent and fabulous, attractive, and successful. You deserve to be who you truly are--within, not who society says that you must be. Do yourself a favor......Raise the Standard.
